View in agendaCan AI become a reliable accessibility engineer? Large language models are already an inherent part of modern development workflows but can it also take care of accessibility – from generating semantic HTML and ARIA patterns to reviewing WCAG and EN 301 549 conformance? This talk explores how client-side AI, conversational interfaces, AI skills, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers enable LLMs to interact with browsers, testing frameworks, and accessibility tooling. Through practical examples using axe-core, eslint-plugin-jsx-a11y, Playwright, and CI/CD pipelines, we will examine how AI can automate parts of accessibility engineering and where it still falls short.
