In this talk, I walk through the practical journey of building a secure web architecture on Google Cloud, starting from the cloud foundation: organization setup, billing, IAM groups, folders, budgets, and networking. From there, we evolve a simple web app into a production-style architecture using private Compute Engine VMs, IAP, Cloud NAT, managed instance groups, health checks, an external Application Load Balancer, DNS, HTTPS, Cloud Armor, rolling updates, rollback, and autoscaling.

The focus is not only on which services to use, but why each layer exists, what tradeoff it solves, and how to explain these choices clearly to engineers and stakeholders.
